Writing Documentation

CSS takes our clinical documentation standards very seriously, and strives to offer all interns the opportunity to develop efficient, ethical, and useful documentation skills. Although we do not bill any insurance plan, we have structured our documentation to look similar to what is required from most insurances for the purposes of your professional development. We also believe that this allows us to provide the highest quality care.

Expectations for documentation include:

• Using BIRP style notes (training will be provided)

• Consistently documenting risk and your risk assessment 

• Completing documentation by the end of the month (supervisors will not sign off on hours until documentation is complete)

*Please note: In order for interns to receive biannual stipends documentation must be completed by each stipend deadline (#1 at the end of fall semester and #2 at the end of spring semester)
